(wap) email to database gateway?

how can i implement a simple email to database gateway (using php4 and mysql)?

here in japan we have mobile phones (imode) with integrated digital cameras, very nice stuff. i can take pictures and email them.

well, now i try to do a add-on for phpslash: a picture-database that accepts pictures via email to brush up phpslash stories...

please let me know if you have any idea how to do that. i am also looking for people that run phpslash in japanese...

my plan is to enable camera-phone and pc users to contribute pictures to:

• existing stories
• existing (own) submissions
• (own) future submissions (which are not written yet, for example: i am at a cool party or a demo, take a pic and think... i gotta write a submission about that on phpslash!!!!) so the pics get stored before the submission is actually written.
