Session-id in url the first time?

Is this a bug or am I just goofing up:
I have a php file with just these two statements:

session_start();
echo "<a href=\"some.php\">mylink</a>";

The very first time Netscape opens this php file the link is shown as:

some.php?HPSESSIONID=...

The second and next time the link is shown as:

some.php

Why this difference and what can I do to always make the second version show? Cookies are on in the client.

your last line explains it all, 'I have cookies on' if your want transparent SID support turn cookies off, this is easy todo. edit the php.ini

session.use_cookies = 0

or just add it to all your url's (I wouldnt, oi, time consuming)
