xhtml inclusion problem ...

high all,

i include a head.inc in my scripts with
html, head etc. tags.

recently i changed it to be xhtml compliant,
now it begins with
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
which gives me a parse error because of the
"<?xml". i can do an echo '<?xml ...' but what is the problem?

If you PHP is installed to accept short tags then it assumes that <? is the start of a php block and it trys to parse it.

XHTML isn't XML!!, if I understand you correctly...

take a look at http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/default.asp

Now, XHTML is kind of replacement for HTML,
but XML is simply for storing data, XML can be used for web designing, but really not recommended like XHTML...

I would use XHTML but study it a little better, if you don't know what I'm talking about...
