Displaying php code

Is it possible to display php code, so that it does not get processed, but just get displayed exactly is it is, just words. I have a site where I give php tutorials, but I dont know a good way to display the script to them. If it is possible, can you please tell me how....Thanx!

If your using Apache, uncomment or add this line to your conf file

AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

and then save your files as .phps

This is so much easier...

Just save the files as .htm ones!

To stop the tags being processed use &lt ; and &gt ; without the spaces.

Just go through using word or something with a find-replace feature changing all the tags to left and right ones (the lt and gt things above) and your home free 🙂

I tried to use that funciton like this:

show_source("http://www.mydomain.com/mypage.php");

When I viewed the page, it did show the source of mypage.php, but it showed the source after it was already interperted by the php server, so it was just the normal html. Please help!

a PHP script is everytime executed before send to the client. So, if you'd like to use show_source(), be sure that shows only HTML source of page you pointed at.
