I am involved in junior sport and a beginner in PHP.
I am using MYSQL to store a quantity of sporting teams and am trying to write a php script that will schedule games between teams.
Basic rules that dictate my direction include:
- I am scheduling fixtures for a junior sporting association which has 7 divisions.
- The amount of teams various in each division (Usually between 4 and 10).
- A completed round exists when each team has played the other once in that division.
- A complete season may comprise 2 - 4 rounds (depending upon the amount of teams.)
- Teams cannot obviously play themselves.
- A team can only play once on a playing date.
