breaking paragraphs into arrays

Hello.

I have a block of text (see below for bogus example) that I would like to be able to seperate.

(bogus example)

(USA)--The U.S. attorney's office is investigating former President Clinton's last-minute
decision to commute the sentences of four men convicted of stealing millions in
government funds, The Associated Press learned today.

(Haiti)--We turn next to Haiti, where the country's prime
minister-designate is asking for help from the international community.
Haitian officials say the international community is deserting them at a
time when the country needs it the most.

I need to be able to break those to paragraphs apart, to put each into a database, or display them on different instances.

Can anybody help??

Here is the code:

$var_array = explode("\n",$var_string);

where \n is the delimiter for an array, you could change to whatever you like.

Then it will create $var_array[0], $var_array[1] ...
