I am writing a pop3 email reader in PHP. It works perfectly with MIME types and everything except when it receives text attachments (.html, .php, .txt) from Outlook(the only program I have tested it with [except for the MIME Mailer class I used]). It inserts interesting characters after = signs along with some other characters. For example, when there is an equals sign in an .html or .php attachment, it puts =3D in its place. .gif files don't appear to demonstrate this problem, but it's possible that there aren't any = signs in those.
Does anyone know what is happening? Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks for your help!
