Target for Redirect

i would like to use php to redirect the broswer. the only way i know of doing this is with a header. however there is a complication. the page I am using has frames and i need the redirection to appear in a certain frame that IS NOT the base target. any idea on how?

Hi,
it is not possible to force a target frame
via the header(location 🙂 funktion..
because displaying frames is a browserside job ...
Some versions of Netscape are accepting the
"window" parameter withhin header(location : ) as frame target ..
AFAIK : the only way to realize what you want is to use javascript ...(yes, i don't like it too)
If there is anyone outside how knows a better way -> please keep me informed !

Try this
Embed this where ever you want inside your php page.
echo("<script language=\"javascript\">\n");
echo("top.location.href=\"yourpage.php\";\n");
echo("</script>\n");
