Multiple Domain Names??

Ok, here's the scenario:

I run a website under (an example) the domain name mydomain.com. I also own a couple of otherdomain names such as myotherdomain.com and yetanotherdomain.com. All of these domain names are directed to the same ip address.

I now want to add another domain name, myfavoritedomain.com and make this my primary domain. When a visitor visits mydomain.com, I would like the URL in their browser to change to myfavoritedomain.com and remain there for the duration of their visit. I also have about a zillion pages which are frequently accessed directly through different topics. Some of these are indexed under search engines such as www.mydomain.com/topic1/index.php3 and I want all of these to remain active under the current address, yet I need the browser to immediately display www.myfavoritedomain.com/topic1/index.php3. I don't mind adding some code to the top of each page to automatically switch the domain name, but I have a lot of files and a structure already setup which I don't want to have to redirect every stinkin' page to a new page.

Does this make any sense? Anyone have any ideas?

I think i understand.

i have these domains:
www.lemurgene.com
lemurgene.com
www.lemurgene.net
lemurgene.net
www.lemurgene.org
lemurgene.org

but i want them all to redirect to the same site, so if someone types in:
lemurgene.org
they are taken to www.lemurgene.com

and if they type in:
lemurgene.org/contests
they are taken to
www.lemurgene.com/contests

What I did was use the apache virtual host option to make this work.
<VirtualHost xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx>
DocumentRoot /document-root-here/redirect/
ServerName lemurgene.org
ErrorDocument 404 /404.php
DirectoryIndex index.php index.htm index.html
AddType text/html htm
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .inc
</VirtualHost>

and under /document-root-here/redirect/
i have the files:
index.php
404.php

here are the contents:
index.php:
<? header("Location: http://www.lemurgene.com"); ?>

404.php:
<? header("Location: http://www.lemurgene.com".$REQUEST_URI); ?>

so if you hit the default doc, it will redirect you to the root of the site you want, and if you type in something like lemurgene.org/contests, it will automagically hit the 404 page and that will redirect you to www.lemurgene.com/contests..

any other ?'s, let me know..

When I got to lemurgene.org it redirects me to lemurgene.com beautifully...

But I just tried that on your site and got a 404 file not found when I went to http://www.lemurgene.net/contests/ ...

I need to make sure that this will work not only for directories, but also for individual files... even for php stuff like http://www.lemurgene.com/viewpoll.php?id=4

Also, if I don't have access to the apache config files is there a way to do this with the .htaccess file (which I do have control over)?
