Anyone familiar with CCVS?

I'm setting out to build my first PHP application which will process credit card transactions. Is CCVS the best way to go? Does anyone have any advice to share about CCVS and/or CyberCash and/or Payflow Pro?

My understanding is that CCVS is free - is that correct? That already gives it a major advantage over CyberCash ($495 setup, $20/month, $.20/transaction) and Payflow Pro (which has similar fees).

Give ordinary Payflow a look, too--it's far cheaper, and up to 5k transactions a month it's probably adequate.
