Hex-encoded GIF ?

Can anyone help me with a script that will covert a Monochrome GIF (87/89a non-interlaced format) into the 2-digit Hexadecimal representation of each byte?

I've tried a couple of things, only it never works - and if changed back the image is broken.

I'd be grateful for any advice - cheers :o)

Sorry, no one was able to supply a working solution for this so the project I was working on was shelved - I'll look into it again, if you make any progress at your side please let me know.
