truncated emails in database.

I have a form and it checks emails and if they are correct it inserts them into a database. I noticed they were being cut off when the entered email addresses were over the size of the field I had. In my case it was twenty.

I've noticed on other sites fields are sometimes smaller than 10 (size="10")and you can enter an email that is longer than the field.

How do you set your form to accept any size email no matter what the size of the form is and enter it into the database without cutting it off?

I bet since I designed my email database field with varchar(25) it can only enter that much into the database. Duh...

I am not really clear on the DB part of the question.

About the form field :

<input type=text name=email_Addr size=10 maxlength=255>
