This is my xml document --- one.xml.
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<jukebox>
<metallica>
<song>one</song>
<song>unforgiven</song>
</metallica>
</jukebox>

I have also craeted a DOM interface for this .
i have used methods like createElements, append etc etc.
I am able to print the elements on the browser, but when i try to
modify my XMl document there is no change at all.My XMl file doesnt get modified.
Please help and tell me whether i am right or wrong.

I don't understand your question well. You have files stores on the harddrive? If you want to write xml back to your drive, you have to fopen() the file and write all the code to it.
