Functions HELP

Hello I was wondering I use alot of function, and instead of writing all the code out again and again, is there a way that I can store the information in a FILE with all the functions listed, something like a Variable.

If there is anything that you do not understand or would like more information write me back

If I understand you correctly, you want to write all of your functions in one file, and then have each page that needs one or more of those functions be able to call your functions page. If that is indeed the case, then the answer is quite simple. Write out your functions in the file whatever.inc, and when you have a page that needs those functions, include the file whatever.inc.

be sure to store whatever.inc outside the public_html directory, otherwise is someone finds out its name, typing www.yoursite.com/whatever.inc will download it for them :-)

That is why I prefer to name any include file with an extension of .php4 instead of .inc. It works just the same and if someone does happen to get the path (I lease space and do not have access to a directory outside public_html) the server sees the php4 extension and compiles the code prior to shipping it out. All the requestor gets is a blank page.

Of course you can still muck this up :-)
I was sorting a cronjob, had the shell commands stored in my connect file, and accidently uploaded it to my site, so all pages connecting to the db displays my dbs username, hostname and password, great fun that was.
