decimal places

how would i convert the follwoing number, which is calculated is of unknown length to the left and right of the decimal point, to 2 decimal places ???

result 13.555743243243 wouldlike 13.56
result 125.121545 wouldlike 125.12

is there an easier way, other then finding the full stop and chopping the string 2 places after the full stop ??? which will not automatically round the last digit up or down
