Checking a string!

Hi.

I'm having trubble checking a string for numbers, (actully I can't remeber how to do it)...

What I want to do is, to check a string like "My Name" for numbers, and return 1 if theres no numbers in the string, else return 0.

echo ereg("[0-9]",$stringToCheck);
return 1 if there is number in your string
(it doesn't return 0 if not)

i'm just begin PHP, so it must have something better ...
