Send mail with attatchment?

Hi, I'm really new to PHP, but I decided to learn a bit to make my website faster to load.
I am building a system so that staff on the site can add text files (via a PHP form) to the server. So that I can keep track of all these files, I would also like to have an attatchment sent to my email address, which includes an attatchment, the text file.
So... Is it possible to do that? Upload the file and then send it as an attatchment to my email address.

if it is only a text file ther may not be a need to get into the complexity of attaching an attachment to an email why not simply use the same text entered by the staff as the body of the email which is sent to you. This can be done relatively easily if php is receiving the form info prior to upload

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I think it will work well, I guess i was just thinking things have to be more complex than they actually do.

I have a small community and want to let people to come to my page, fill an information form and attach their pictures which is supposed to be sent to my email address. because the website has no upload option. Is this possible ?
