after you set the expiration on the cookie,.. does anyone know how to show how much time is left in the cookie before it expires, for example, have it print 'you have 6 hours before your cookie expires' ?
I don't believe you can get expiration data from a cookie, which is why it's a good idea to set a value in the cookie with the time set for expiration.
A simple little alteration, but quite useful.
