php+mysql+qmail

Hi
I am using php4 with mysql on red hat linux 6.2.I want to install qmail as my mailing system.I downloaded a tar file from http://www.qmail.org.But i am not able to install it properly.Can any one tell me the procedure to install it properly.Is it necessary to install any rpms for qmail.If so where can i get that rpm.I am new to php.
I am totally helpless in this installation.
Any help will be much appreciated.

This isn't a problem with PHP. PHP has nothing to do with the installation of qmail. I'd suggest that you look at the qmail site to find installation instructions. Once qmail is installed and running PHP only needs to know what program to run for mail, and that is found in the php.ini file.
