Domain Registration Tool

Hi,

Just wondering if there is any FREE open source tool for Domain
Registration like that in Networksolution.com which will allow user to
choose/check/and regsiter a domain as per his/her choice. Also it would be
great if this tool can be integrated with other open source tools for
providing Web hosting solution and its managament, Credit card verification
for transaction and other order processing system.

Any idea/link/help is highly appreciated.

I dont- but Verisign offer farily competative credit card services.

I assume you have looked through the code library?

my initial thoughts on this would be just to do a dns lookup on whatever the user enters. If you wanna do this, look up the checkdnsrr() function. there are also other functions in the Network section of the php manual that might be useful.

As for registering them, i really have no clue. Maybe Network Solutions has an SDK of some kind?
