PHP - ORACLE connection

I can not to connect with external Oracle data base. PHP has required packages included, tnsnames.ora is configured well (other applicationc are able to establish connection). But PHP seems to not see tnsnames.ora file (but it can read it and for example display on the WWW page).
It allways give message - "TNS could not resolve service name".
Is there any other place to configure PHP to let it use TNSNAMES.ORA?

Hi there.

I had the same problem. The one thing that made it for me is to CHMOD 755 OracleHome. This assuming you have it defined in your environment.

I work under WinNT :-(

I succesfully connected remote Oracle but I had to input database descriptior directly into oci_logon funciton. I think that I have some variable not set properly (TNS_ADMIN looks fine) because PHP seems to can't find tnsnames.ora on my machine. Is there any other variable that shows path to tnsnames.ora?

Rhere seems to be a "bug" of some kind in Oracle remote connection from NT.

To solve that problem I have found a site which deals exactly with WIN configurations. They even have installers!
