Is it possible to get php4 on a Win2000 server to connect to ODBC datasources. The reason i ask is that i would rather use Access 2000 to do my databases rather than SQL Server 2000, which is my only other option.

Because i am trying to do a joint effort with and ASP programmer, who only knows ms access and will not learn mysql. MYSQL is not favoured by the systems admins so they wont install it either.

Why use Access over SQL Server? I would pick SQL server before I would pick Access. Access is a toy database, not suited for any type of enterprise web application. If you have sql server at your disposal, i say go for it.

Not really answering your question, but...

At my company I configured PHP4 on NT4 (server) and it talks to MS SQL Server 2000 using ODBC. It was fairly easy, I just installed the client software on the server 2000 disk onto the NT4 webserver (Win32 Apache 1.3.14). The ODBC drivers work really well, very quick - also, the PHP ODBC functions are not too bad either.

any chance of installing mysqldrivers instead of native odbc drivers ?????

It does support many different databases types natively including mysql. Mysql seems to be favoured as example fodder in all the books too. But I've got no experience of it at all.
