Password Protected FTP script

Hello there,

I would really appreciate some help from all you kind folks out there as I urgently need to know how to do this. I am a PHP newbie.

This is what I need to know: What is the best way for multiple users to upload and download (to make changes) large documents
in a password protected environment - through
FTP. These documents will need to be printed.

Will a PHP script do it or is there some other way that I am not seeing. If the script will do it, can someone help?

I found a decent thing to do one of those actions at hotscripts.com . I'm new too so if that script is not what you want, sorry.

The script is called uploader.php, and it lets you upload one file at a time. That's my biggest problem, though, because I need a way for people to be able to send multiple files at one time. Does anyone know how to do this?
