Keeping values when refreshing

Miss me? I thought so.

I've asked this question before, and have tried what has been suggested. I have the script up at:

www.elusivereality.com/faq/faq_search.php

The problem is that when a user selects a category, the page refreshes (or submits, i've tried both). However, the user loses any information they entered into the keyword textbox, their selected search method and the checkbox (if it was checked).

I am completely clueless as to what I should try now, so any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you.

Ugh.... Someone must be playing with the mysql server again. I will send you the code once I get home, then. At worse if you want you may retry a little later and it may work. Thanks anyway. :/

What about grabbing the values the textbox and storing them in a global variable so you can grab again later and use them to do whatever it is you want. Or what about a session / cookie variable type solution?
