What interpretes PHP

Hi to whoever reads this!

   I have a simple doubt. ASP is interpreted by a DLL called asp.dll coming along with IIS. Likewise what interpretes PHP?

php4isapi.dll processs php requests through windows if run as a plugin for IIS. It's a simple setup in IIS to include that dll file.

There are lots of other ways to run it too, however.
