Javascript onclick and window.close

Hi,

I have a window with two radio buttons, these radio buttons have an onclick event that play either a windows media file or real player file depending on which radio button they select. After they have selected I want the relevant player to load and the original window to shutdown. Have tried putting the following into the onclick event
onClick="window.location.href=windowsmediafile.wmv';window.close()"

but the original window shuts down without starting the players.

Any help appreciated

what you are doing there is first load the sound file, and then close the window that is trying to load the file, so the window never gets the chance to play the sound..

if i\'ve got this right you have a popup window with these radiobuttons, then try something like onClick=\"openr.location.href=\'file.wmv\';window.close()\"

that might not be the best solution but was the first to come to my mind...
