Server-push with PHP

Hi

I'm currently working on a project in which I have to update a webpage with data coming from a Delphi 5 program. Since the data change frequently, I need the server push technology to update the page when the data changes. Since I'm fairly new to PHP (and I would very much like to use this technology for this project), I was wondering if anyone has any experience with PHP and server pushing. Any PHP server push script or other advice would be most welcome.
