Does anyone know how to "programatically" click a Form button with PHP? For example, how can I simulate the user's clicking a button under program control?
(This would be akin to calling VB's click_event for a button.)
hi,
php is server side, hence, you can't execute client side 'commands' as such.
You can however do it with js and such.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Mustafa,
That explains it.
I guess the "programmatic" world will never quite match the real world. Well, not in our lifetime anyway :-)
p.s. Hey, were you in that Dirty Harry ("Magnum Force") movie awhile back?
First you have to give your form a name:
<FORM NAME="autoclick">
Then add this to your body tag:
<BODY onload="document.autoclick.submit();">
As soon as the page loads, it will press submit.
No, the only movie I ever did was The Lion King, as Mufasa - Simba's dad.
I'll check out Magnum Force and see if I am in that too. 🙂

He was the guy with the "questionable" furnishings (lamps from Holiday Inn) at his hideaway.
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
