Open a remote file using fopen function

the url 'http://rjd2000.myetang.com/' can browse with IE browser. but when I used fopen 'fopen("http://rjd2000.myetang.com/","r") ' to read it, A error occured: 'Warning: fopen("http://rjd2000.myetang.com/index.htm","r") - Success in /www/makeourlife/sites_work.php on line 4

That usually indicates the remote server has sent a redirect instead of a page. The fopen() function will not handle redirects.

I have the same problem. I agree some pages send redirects, but i tried it on files, actual ones.

Also, when I test it on my own server it works just fine. The remote page loads. When I run the script from my hosted site, at my ISP, it doesn't. So i guess it has something to do with ISPs rather than browsers or remote servers.
