Upload Large Files

Hi all,
I'm trying to upload large (30ish M😎 files through a PHP script, but the script seems to time out after 5 minutes. The Apache timeout is set to 3000 seconds, and I have increased all of the PHP.ini variables to huge amounts (100MB limit, 3000 sec timeout). My PHP Upload page sets the MAX_FILE_SIZE at 80 MB. I'm pulling my hair out trying to work out why I can't upload these big files.

Can anyone help?

You will find that IE times out before the PHP script times out or Apache timesout.

Does anyone tried to solve the Problem using the FTP feature from PHP ??

Is there any way around IE timing out? Also, I have noticed that although I am changing the amounts in the PHP.ini file, after restarting the machine, PHPINFO() displays information different to what I have specified, ie. I set the timeout to 3000, and it displays it as 30, and I set the max_upload_size to 100, and it displays it as 8. It seems as if PHP is ignoring my ini file. how can it do this?

Have you restarted the server after editing php.ini?

I have the same problem,, I already try via FTP, and have problems too,,(off cors with --enable-ftp)
now I turn MAX_FILE_SIZE = 500M (I need it)
post_max_size = 500M
and max_execution_time = 0 ,, it seems like this is like infinit..
But the problem presists,.
I dont´s know is this value is correct but in a post i use MAX_FILE_SIZE value=600000
,,
I really need upload very large files
.. please enyone post a very good help in uploading LARGE files via FTP or HTTP please

Finally got it working...

Environment: php4, apache, mandrake-8

changed 4 things

in php.ini:

post_max_size = 30M
max_execution_time = 900
upload_max_filesize = 30M

in httpd.conf:

LimitRequestBody 30000000

I'm having the same problem too.

I've changed upload_max_filesize = 30M,
(post_max_size=30M,max_execution_time=900)
but when I look at the phpinfo(), it
shows upload_max_filesize = 2M (default)!
Weird, isn't it?!

By the way, I set the
LimitRequestBody to 30000000
in httpd.conf and it still won't work.
Can any one give me a hand here?

I was looking for this tip for a long time but only on php.ini (crazy dumb frenchie).
i go change setting and tell you back if it works.
