SSL + download + IE 5.x

I have some problem to force a file download from PHP. Without SSL, my script works fine but with SSL, it causes IE 5.x to crash the download.
I know I\'m not the only one who have this problem on this forum... Is it a SSL problem or a IE 5.x problem (the last one would not surprise me :-)

I don't know if its related but IE5.x has bugs with SSL (See the mod_ssl site)

We found that if SSL is upgraded to apache-ssl rather then use mod_ssl it cures all IE problems

I know its something you may not be able to do but mod_ssl+IE is a bad combination.
