Greetings! I am running a Cobalt Raq Server with MySQL and PHP 3, installed by the folks at our hosting company. Everything was working fine from August until a few weeks ago, when our server was "compromised" by a nefarious gang of "3133t" hackers from Ireland, or thereabouts. Everything had to be reinstalled. Anyway, now our php-generated html files contain slashes before every single quote or apostrophe. They were not there before, and our hosting company swears it is the fault of the code (which, mysteriously, worked fine last month). I'm guessing it has something to do with the way magic_quotes is set, but cannot find php.ini anywhere on our server. Am I on the right track here, or should I be harassing my hosting company? If so, provide me with the words which will make them see the error of their ways... Thanks!
