session variables query

Hi everyone,
If I have a form with a bunch of input fieds that I want to register as session variables where do I register them?

Would it be on the form page or the 'action' page?

What I need to know is where and when PHP spots variables (I'm guessing the 'action page'

The input fields will be converted to variables once the form has been submitted. It kind of happens in between pages.
<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"variable1\" value=\"thisValue\"> will be converted to a variable named '$variable1' once the form information has been sent to the server scripts. PHP recognises the variables in between recieving this form info and sending the resulting info.

Yes! as long as the form info has been sent to the server scripts the variables can be returned to the same page. I.e. using a submit action such as <form action=\"$PHP_SELF\".
