Prevent reload

I don't want my page to refresh when I press the reload button... Is there any header call by which I can do this

I have a lot of inserts happening on one page... there are a lot of messages also being shown for each query that gets executed and so I cannot display the messages on another page after the inserts are done here.. Actually i don't want to send such large messages thru a link or form submit

I don't think it's possible. When someone hits reload, it just calls the page again, ignoring any cached page.

I may be wrong though.

Quite correct. You can't stop the reload button from reloading.

What you should/can do is use the "header()" command to redirect the users to a new page after the script has completed it's inserts. That will clear the POST/GET cache and a reload will not re-submit.
