URGENT: Check if date within last 7 days

Hi all!

Our site has started to go live, and I just noticed a big hole in the programming, and I tried the manual, but I'm in a hurry, and couldn't seem to spot a simple explanation.

What I have is a database with a field called "enddate", and I need to create two lists. One that contains records with enddate in the past (ie. their membership has expired), and another that contains records who have less than 14 days remaining (so they get an email asking if they wish to renew their membership).

I assume you are using MySQL...

For the enddate you can do
SELECT * FROM table WHERE enddate<now();

And for the 14 days you can use the DATE_ADD() function in MySQL to get the list:

SELECT * FROM table WHERE enddate<DATE_ADD(now(),interval 14 days);

I think your second example will also return out-of-date fields, so would

SELECT * FROM table WHERE enddate<DATE_ADD(now(), interval 14 days) AND enddate!<now();

work?

yes but I'd go for

AND enddate>now();

Yes, but that will return everything after today. I want just what's got 14 days or less left.
