I've got dates and times from my database which are WAY older than 1970.
Is there a way to change the base date?
The dates I've got are 0 for midnight January 1st, 1900.
From what I can tell, the php4 date() function will not accept -ve timestamps.
This must be something very simply, but I can't see it.
Out of interest, I am using MS SQL V7 (again, a newbie at this). Is there a way to get the date, month, year, day_of_week, month_name and day_name from a datetime field?
I am looking for something that will return ...
Sunday 1st October 1967
I'll be happy without the "st".
Any suggestions?

Richard Quadling.
