sendmail & php problem

I'm calling sendmail from a php script, using the -f (for "from" address), and i have apache as a trusted user. anyway, if the email is sent to [e-mail], my email is returned (of course), but not to the "from" address, rather to apache

any ideas how to fix this?
i need sendmail to respect the "from" address when reporting errors, and bouncing emails

Not sure exactly what your getting at, this may help?

thanks, i did some reading - i wasn't using the -f, but using the -t, and From: in the headers. Sendmail was setting Return-Path as apache. With the -f, and Apache as a trusted user, the Return-Path is set correctly.
