hey, how can i find out what page they came from? like, to return the from whence they came?

Should work, if the visitor comes indeed from a certain link on a certain page, if you go directly to the page, it will just return nothing :-)

HTTP_REFERER gets himself values from link. Not gets himself values from typing. try one page <a href='page1.php3>link</a> and in page1.php3 use HTTP_REFFERER
