I'm trying to determine if a string has between 1 and 16 alphanumeric charectors (and no more than that) it seems like this should work, but doesn't, any ideas why?
(eregi("[0-9a-z]{1,16}$",$thisfield)
Actually, that regex does work, there was a typo in my error trapping, not my regex. must be something in the water today...
