Random '!' in Email

Hi,

My client is constantly getting random exclamation points in their emails
sent through php and sendmail on a Unix system. I have spent hours trying to
find some kind of a pattern or logic to it but no luck. It doesn't even
consistently repeat them if you send identical messages.

Has anyone heard of or seen this, and better yet, know how to avoid it?

I had the same problem and realized that if the output does not contains some breaklines after a certain number of character, it is cut. Don't know why but i resolved that using a function that hardwrap text before printing it in an email.
