i have problem with imap function
i found that imap_uid() which is not working right, it return only a sequence number, not the uid

also, how php to get header information or unique id of an email that is without downloading the whole email message

POP3 is not intended to provide extensive manipulation operations of mail on the server; normally, mail is downloaded and then deleted.

however, how can i control the php not to download the whole pop3 email and download the header information only.

i find that other email client application, they dun need to download the whole email, and determine which email has been downloaded

if you thinking how to display mail message wihtout attachment then use
$MAILSERVER="{192.168.0.60/pop3:110}INBOX";
$link=@imap_open($MAILSERVER, $vnimi, $pasw);
$meil= imap_fetchbody($link, $num, 1);
and $meil is mail text $num is message number
