GET & POST Difference???

I've just been reading a post about a problem I've been having and someone mentioned using the Get method instead of Post? what does this mean and what are the implications of using one over the other?

GET sends vars through the URL, so everybody can see it, but the size is limited to about 2k.

POST sends data through the HTTP request headers, so it's not visible and the data can be much larger.

GET is quick and easy, POST is more difficult but more flexible.
