I'm writing a page that firstly reads a text file on the server in order to validate username/passwords. If a match is found it sets a cookie. Until this point no other info is sent to the client ie all the action takes place on the server.
This works fine on the machine I am writing the code, which is also the server, although once a real client connects, the cookies never make an appearance. The client's browser is set to accept cookies.
