crypt () ?

Hi I try to use the crypt command to encrypt the password of a login form I'm building but it says its not supported in my php build.

is this a relitevly new peice of code ?

If you are using PHP on a MS Windows
platform, it is not there. Crypt does
work on unix/linux.

I am running PHP 4.0.6 on Digital Unix. Crypt command IS there but it still gives me the not supported in this build error. Is there something I missed when building PHP?
