Running a cgi command from inside php

Hi, i have this banner rotation program i use alot (i don't want to replace it) that ussually (in my html and shtml pages) i would use the  command to excecute but in php i can't sooo. How can i get perl to parse that at run-time but still have that code (or it's php equivilent?) in the code. Thanks

use the php function virtual().

virtual("/cgi-bin/banner/ads.cgi");

there are also the php exe, system, passthru, and backtick operators that might do what you want.
