mysql db search..

Hello.

I'm making a search in mysql. i'm searching string in not just one table. then all results that are (from diferent tables) i want to check and select where ID<=20. it is like top 20. i just don't know where to start or what to do? should i use temp table? how to do that?

Not quite clear what is the problem. To search in several tables you can use LEFT JOIN, I suppose, and to limit IDs - just write in LEFT JOINs conditions "table_name.ID<=20". If you just need a tip - it will help, I hope, if more information - let us know :-)

if you need to display a certain number of rows use Limit, e.g, select * from table limit 10 to see the first 10 rows
