I'm connecting to a telnet server using fsockopen(). I use fread() to get the response. So far so good. If I specify that the fread() is to get 50 characters and the response from the telnet source is less, it waits, and waits, and waits.
Because possible error messages vary in length and the telnet source does not append a <CRLF> or <EOF> to its response, I don't know ahead of time how long the response is going to be.
What do I do?
Thanks,
