PHP conf change after installation

Hey,

I've just installed Redhat 7.1 and php comes installed with it.

BUT, it was installed --without-mysql

(I can see that when I run phpinfo())

Anyhow, somebody knows how to change php configuration to support php after installation? without running from the source again?

Simple, you can't.

I've always found it easier to install Apache with Redhat, but then install MySQL and PHP myself once the system is up.

As long as you installed the Apache Development module (which installs apxs) you can plug php in anytime you want.

I think I've compiled php four or five times on one of my servers. I think I've got it configured the way I need it now!! 🙂
