Need help on splitting a string!

Please, help me!

I have a string:

$string="text1 text2 \t text3 \t\t\t text4 \"text 5\" \ttext6";

As you see, the string is with the different number of spaces and \t delimiters between parts of text, and some text may be quoted.

Need to get:

part1: text1
part2: text2
part3: text3
part4: text4
part5: text 5
part6: text6

How could i get it?

i.e. you're splitting it on a regex that matches one or more whitespace characters.
