Hello, I have run php script time after time, for example at 14.00, 14.05, 14.10 .... it have to be automaticly
how to compile this script, how to do this ???

no it is a simple script, I dot know how to compile to CGI, the platform is Linux

You don't really need to compile the PHP script. Even if you did compile the script into an EXE, you would still need a scheduler to run it at the desired times.

What you really need is a scheduler to start the script at the desired times. Examples of schedulers would include cron, Techscheduler, (WindowsNT) AT-command, and so on.

What OS are you running?

cron comes as part of the operating system on most Unix/Linux variants. For Windows, check with your favorite shareware utility site(s). For the Windows environment I prefer TechScheduler over cron. TechScheduler can be found at http://www.winutils.com/

There are plenty of other scheduling utilities available on the market. Again, a quick search of your favorite shareware site or search engine should provide more than you would ever need.

I'm a student, I am writing study project. It is internet auction. When auction finished server have to check who won the auction. Server have to do this time after time for example at 14.00 and next at 14.05 ... I writing my project in PHP with Oracle Database with Apache Server and the OS is Linux Mandrake

Job schedulers like cron/TechScheduler/etc... can start run any program at any desired time. So they could start your script every five minutes with a command line like this:

php4.exe -q c:\path\to\script\myscript.php

If all you need to do is to run some SQL every so often, Oracle has a built-in package for running jobs. Talk with your Oracle DBA about the DBMS_JOB package to see if it might meet your needs.
